How to get a clear quote

Clear photos help avoid guesswork and make the quote faster, but they are optional. If photos are awkward, call or message and we can arrange a time to view the job at your property.

1. Photos if convenient

A wide photo of the area and a close-up of any moss, algae or staining can help us quote quickly.

2. No photos? No problem

If you would rather talk it through, call or send a message and we can arrange a suitable time to view the job at your property.

3. Practical details

Include your postcode, access notes, parking, outdoor tap location and whether pets or ponds are nearby.

How often exterior cleaning is usually needed

Frequency depends on shade, trees, traffic, drainage and how quickly organic growth returns.

Driveways: usually every 12–24 months; shaded block paving may need yearly attention.
Patios and paths: usually every 12–18 months, or sooner if they become slippery.
Gutters: usually once or twice a year, especially after autumn leaf fall.
Fascias, soffits and garage doors: usually every 12–24 months for kerb appeal.
Decking: often every 6–12 months because it can become slippery quickly.

What chemicals are used for soft washing?

Where suitable, soft washing may use a controlled sodium hypochlorite based solution, commonly called hypo, to treat organic growth such as algae, moss residue and green staining. It can be very effective, but it is not the right choice for every surface.

Other jobs may only need pressure washing, water-fed cleaning, detergent or a gentler treatment. The method depends on the surface, staining, drainage, nearby plants, pets, ponds and weather conditions.

Important: chemical strength, dwell time and rinsing must be controlled. The aim is to use the safest effective method for the job, not the strongest possible mix.
